We are seeking highly motivated and talented scientists to join our Laboratory of 3D FUNCTIONAL NETWORK AND DENDRITIC IMAGING IN THE INSTITUTE OF EXPERIMENTAL
MEDICINE. Our research projects include the spatiotemporal dynamics of signal integration from synaptic inputs to final integration sites; the dynamics of large neuronal networks during decision making and reward expectation; the mapping of visual cortical networks; the cellular and network correlates of hippocampal sharp-wave ripples and the mechanisms of interictal spike generation in epilepsy. We combine fast two-photon imaging with photoactivation techniques such as uncaging and photostimulation and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and conducting experiments with an anatomical focus in support of our core research projects
  • Conduction of and supervision over anatomical processing, histology and immunolabelling
  • Conducting confocal imaging essays
  • Analysis of the imaging result

Expectations

  • Degree in Biology, Medicine or in another relevant scientific field
  • Record of research accomplishment in relevant field
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a strong team in a scientific environment
