Application Specialist Sales Representative

About the position:

The microscopy imaging Application Specialist Sales Representative is closely linked to the sales and application specialist teams and our microscopy imaging systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the technical introduction and training for our (prospective) customers and solving their questions and problems involving our imaging setups, including conventional and high-end multiphoton microscopes. The candidate must have a solid understanding of optical imaging techniques, and significant hands-on experience with fluorescence imaging microscopes and optical setups. A combined background in optics and life sciences is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales of tailor made cutting-edge technology in the field of multiphoton microscopy.
  • Networking to develop new sales opportunities in the academic field, overseeing the process from beginning to the end.
  • Managing customer relationships and contacting research institutes.
  • Conduct demonstrations on specified equipments and provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities.
  • Representing our novelties at exhibitions, meetings, and congresses worldwide.
  • Provide trainings on FEMTONICS products, and for techniques related to the customer’s applications.
  • Understand the USPs and solutions compared to our competitors on the market.
  • Provide professional market insights to assist in the advancement of new product developments.

Expectations

  • Hands-on experience in using and demonstrating microscopes (3+ years).
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Biomedical Sciences, Physics or in a related field (combined background in optics and life sciences is preferred).
  • Proficient in English language (business professional level with scientific vocabulary knowledge). Hungarian (min. B2 level) language knowledge is not must but advantageous.
  • Open to embracing modern state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Ability to think and execute tasks independently and effectively.
  • Active listening skills, clear communication, ability for conflict resolution, and proactive problem-solving talent.
  • Proactively initiate communications with customers and clients, then able to summarize the meeting results and drive the processes further.
  • Precise in handling administrative tasks.
  • Achieve successful business deals that benefit both clients and the company alike.
  • Strong drive and positive, winning mindset.
  • Frequent travel worldwide (Approximately 30% of your work schedule).
  • Driving license.
