Application Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and experienced new MICROSCOPY APPLICATION SPECIALIST to join our expanding team. The Microscopy Imaging Application Specialist is closely linked to the sales team of our microscopy imaging systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the technical introduction and training for our customers, and solving problems involving their imaging systems, including confocal, conventional multiphoton and high-end multiphoton imaging systems. The candidate must have a solid understanding of optical imaging techniques, and significant hands-on experience with imaging microscopes and optical setups. A combined background in optics and life sciences is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct demonstrations on specified equipment and provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities.
  • Provide trainings on FEMTONICS products, and for techniques related to the customer’s applications.
  • Work with the sales department to understand the solutions of our competitors on the market, and their advantages/disadvantages.
  • Write SOP and generate application specific technical content for the sales and marketing departments as requested.
  • Give market feedback and participate in the development of new products.
  • Assist the sales department in understanding the customer’s specific needs and applications.
  • Give product-related of scientific talks at seminars/academic meetings/tradeshows/customer meetings.

Expectations

  • Hands-on experience with using and demonstrating multiphoton systems.
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Biomedical Sciences, Physics or a related field.
  • Combined background in optics and life sciences is preferred.
  • Ability to think and execute tasks independently.
  • Ability to listen actively, to communicate clearly, to cope with conflicts and to initiate solutions.
  • Ability to initiate communication, to summarize results, to drive processes.
