Femtonics focuses on the research and development of two-photon laser scanning microscopes for the booming area of (neuro)physiological investigations. For the past decade, the main aim of Femtonics has been to create and provide uniquely novel technologies shifting to higher paradigms in the fields of advanced 3D imaging. Are you curious about what this role implies?
- Managing service issues
- Assembling and testing microscopes according to the standards of the company
- Providing installation, configuration, maintenance, modification, testing and/or repairing on various mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic instruments
- Designing, building and aligning laser light paths
- Demonstrating the usage of the microscope and the software
- Effectively communicating with internal colleagues and external customers within established time guidelines in order to meet customer's expectations
- Users needs assessment and analysis
- Production management of complex measurement systems
- Traveling abroad and working with international clients worldwide
The ideal candidate:
- Has a basic knowledge of microscopy
- Has a basic-level knowledge of matlab
- Is reliable and precise
- Is immediately employable
- Has good communication skills
- Is able to examine a particular problem in several different ways, to devise and carry out solutions
- Is eager to acquire new knowledge and useful experiences

Then you should have:
- Engineering / sciences degree
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, and/or
- Advanced electronic troubleshooting and repair skills, and/or
- Basic software troubleshooting and programming skills
- High level of autonomy and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical capability
- Fluent written and spoken english skills
- Willingness to travel
- Experienced in use of hand tools
