Deputy Head of Sales

In this role, you will assume responsibility for the Sales Department located in Budapest, Hungary but operated internationally worldwide. Your key mission will be to improve and streamline our business processes while also spearheading the recruitment, inspiration, and development of the local team.

As we strive to maintain our dominance in the global market of Acousto-optical fluorescence microscopy, we are on the lookout for individuals who can contribute to innovation and collaborative change, driving us toward continued and well-gained success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting sales representatives and onboarding new team members to ensure their peak performance.
  • Leading, coaching, and motivating the entire sales and application specialist team to drive continuous improvement in their top performance.
  • Developing a sales plan and effectively communicating it to all team members.
  • Monitoring the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tracking the speed of application processing.
  • Analyzing and optimizing processes within the sales department to enhance efficiency.
  • Implementing and managing the use of CRM, ERP, and other in-house operational systems.
  • Conducting meetings and collaborating with other departments to address and meet client demands.
  • Creating and refining working scripts to improve overall team performance.

To succeed in this position, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in strategic sales team management, with expertise in B2B/B2C sales and a background in microscopy and/or the life sciences industry.
  • Proficiency in both native Hungarian and professional business English, enabling effective communication.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A demonstrated track record of streamlining sales processes and boosting revenue.
  • Adaptability to dynamic work environments and a passion for tackling challenging tasks.
  • Proficiency in utilizing consultative sales techniques and negotiation tools.
  • The ability to assess team performance and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Essential knowledge of international trade.
  • A "hunter" mindset, driven to seek out opportunities and close deals.
  • Ambitious leadership qualities with a talent for motivating and developing team members.
  • Quick decision-making capabilities and a willingness to take accountability for your actions.
